Siskyn Skincare Oils’ Rosehip & Tamanu Scars & Stretchmark Oil has taken Gold in the Family Skincare Category in the sixth annual FreeFrom Skincare Awards.
Sponsored by our shortlisted cosmetics brand NATorigin, the Family Skincare Category celebrates the best products for babies, kids, teens, mums and mums-to-be which are ‘free from’ some of the ingredients which many consumers need or prefer to avoid – such as fragrances, artificial additives, preservatives, food allergens and animal ingredients.
“It is amazing,” enthused one tester. “Stretch-marks on my tummy are not angry and red any more and the oil has really helped with the healing on my caesarean scar.”
“We had a great selection of entries in the family skincare category – including a teen acne gel, some family balms, a bath milk, and a baby massage oil,” said Alex Gazzola, Awards’ Co-ordinator. “But the Siskyn Oil clearly won out with its excellent blend of natural ingredients and the impressive results it gave our testers.”
Silver Awards went to Botanico Vida (for their Omega Oil) and Little Butterfly London (for Love Eternal Baby Massage Oil).
Bronze Awards went to Laila London (Healing Calendula Face & Body Balm), Natura Siberica (Baby Cream Soap) and Wild Oats (Tender Caring Bath Milk).
The awards were presented at the Love Natural, Love You show at Olympia, on Friday 7th July 2017.
Overall winner of the Best Free From Skincare Product for 2017 was Benecos for their Classic Lip Balm.

The Free From Skincare Awards were founded in 2012 to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products ‘free from’ some of the allergens, chemicals, additives and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, ethical and health concerns.
They are run by Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, director of the Free From Awards (which also include the FreeFrom Food Awards – now in their eleventh year – and the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards – in their fourth year), and Alex Gazzola, a writer specialising in allergies, intolerances and other sensitivities. Joining them this year as Adminstrator was Kirsty Mawhinney, a skincare expert and experienced cosmetics brand consultant.
