At the Love Natural, Love Organic Show held at Olympia recently, I attended the Free From Skincare Awards . I was extremely proud to collect a Silver Award for our NATorigin eyeshadow from Janey Lee Grace.
According to Janey, many women are switching to natural products because they are realising just how much better they are for us.
Here are a few comments from the Beauty Bible testers who used our hypoallergenic and organic eyeshadow for an entire month.
“Did not leave my lids dry, if anything, left my eyelids feeling smooth as if they’d had a treatment – seems to have a softening affect, eyelids feel smooth.”
“As a natural skin care product it is impressive to read what it actually contains. For people who are sensitive to eye makeup this could be a lifesaver product.”
“This is the only eye shadow that actually lasted all day without creasing, smudging or fading. The finished effect was creamy, shimmery, but not too much. My eyes can be sometimes sensitive, but having worn this product for a month almost every day I have not experienced any sensitivity or any other side effects.”
From the organisers at Skins Matter
“Judges noticed better standards of ‘free from’ and allergy-aware labelling this year,” said Alex Gazzola, Awards co-ordinator. “We also felt the quality of ingredients being used in cosmetics has improved. It has been encouraging to see so many small and upcoming brands winning a number of awards too. The future of natural skincare is in good hands!”
There were many brands, PR’s and bloggers in attendance as well as women interested in skin friendly beauty. As well as attending, I was presenting the award for Best Family Skincare to Neal’s Yard Remedies for their Bee Lovely Bath & Shower Gel.
The Free From Skincare Awards were founded in 2012 to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products that are ‘free from.’ They avoid allergens, chemicals, additives and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, ethical and health concerns.
The awards are run by Michelle Berriedale-Johnson editor of the FreeFromMatters.com websites. Michelle is also a director of the FreeFrom Food Awards (now in their eighth year) and the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards (in their second year).
Alex Gazzola, is her right-hand man and deputy editor of SkinsMatter.com and a writer specialising in allergies and sensitivities.
I was also featured in my local newspaper, thank you to the Banbury Guardian
